What we do

PixelCrayons delivers custom web development under partner agencies' brands: architecture, front-end and back-end engineering, code review and QA. Your agency owns the client relationship and the retail price; we deliver behind your logo at wholesale rates, with reporting in your templates and the repository in your client's own accounts. NDA and client-protection terms are agreed before work begins.

What your agency resells

The engineering discipline,
sold as yours.

01

Architecture and scoping, before any code

Data model, rendering strategy, hosting and the boundary between front end and back end, decided and written down before the first sprint. Your agency presents the architecture note as your own recommendation; we did the reasoning behind it.

Sprint zero
02

A senior build, gated by review

Front end and back end written by engineers who work in the stack every week, with nothing merging until a second senior engineer signs off against a written standard. When your name is on the pull request, the standard behind it has to be defensible; that's the part clients never see and we never skip.

Every merge
03

Marketing sites and web apps, not the product itself

Marketing sites, portals and the web apps that sit around a client's product: that is the lane, and it is stated in the scope before a sprint starts. The product itself is our sibling company's lane; we say so at the brief rather than stretch into it.

Scope, in writing
04

QA before anything reaches your client

Automated checks in CI on every merge, a QA engineer testing across browsers and devices before each demo, and defects fixed inside the sprint rather than added to a second backlog. What you present on the client call is working software, not a promise.

Every sprint
05

Documentation and code ownership, transferred

The repository lives in your client's accounts from day one, and architecture notes and runbooks are maintained as we build. Bespoke deliverable rights, licences and handover are agreed before work starts.

The build-or-buy decision

Four ways to add web development,
side by side.

Reliability, brand safety, scalability, governance and the costs that don't show up in the quote: the five things that actually decide it when your name is on the repository.

NDA + rate card on file

The capability pack and wholesale development rate card arrive, and an NDA goes on file. From here you quote build work in any pitch, months before there's a client. Partner rates are published on agencies.pixelcrayons.com if you want the number first.

When a client signs

First branded deliverable

Architecture agreed and the repository standing in your client's accounts, followed by reviewed, working code on staging. Once we have a complete brief, we confirm the date you will receive your proposal against the rate card.

One client becomes a portfolio; overflow becomes a retainer. The same team stays on your accounts.

Multi-location healthcare: the backlog, cleared under their brand.

The agency's build queue had outgrown their bench, and their client's roadmap was slipping because of it. Delivered as a dedicated team inside the agency's own project tools, working to their review standard: the client saw a faster-moving supplier, never a second vendor. The full write-up keeps the numbers in.

Where this fits

The partnership, the discipline, the lane.

The wholesale band for web development is on the pricing page, agency view on: quote against it before a client asks. The partnership itself lives on the agency hub; web development as brands buy it direct has its own page. Neighbouring white-label lanes are linked too.

Client protection in writing

We deliver under your agency's brand and respect your client relationships. We do not approach the clients you introduce to us for direct business. Confidentiality and client-protection terms are agreed before work begins.

Agency engagements. Protection runs through the work and for twelve months after the last assignment for that client ends.

Before we take the brief

Is this a brief
we should build?

The lane and the stack are stated in the scope before a sprint starts. These are the calls we make on a partner's brief, including the ones where we say no rather than stretch.

Questions

Frequently
asked.

For bench partners, the NDA is signed and the rate card is on file before there's a project. Eligible work can typically start two to three business days after scope, payment and required access are confirmed. Work begins with the architecture note and the repository in your client's own accounts.

Two layers, one of which happens once. Partner onboarding is an intro call, an NDA, the rate card and capability pack on file and a named contact. When a brief lands, you introduce the account in your own words, we go through the existing codebase and constraints, and we agree the architecture before anything is built.

Nothing merges without a second senior engineer signing off against a written standard, and CI runs automated checks on every merge. Reporting is weekly in your templates with your logo, with a monthly deep-dive for your client call. We join those calls as your team when you want us there.

Our default is proven and widely staffed: TypeScript with React, Next.js and Node, and PHP with Laravel or WordPress where a CMS fits. We work in the stack your client already runs where that's right, and where we lack senior depth in a technology, we tell you rather than take the brief.

Your client's, always. The repository, hosting and CI pipelines are created in your client's own accounts from day one. Bespoke deliverable rights, licences and handover are agreed before work starts, and a proper handover explains how it works. Leaving being easy is what makes staying meaningful.

Yes, and it's a common arrangement. We can submit pull requests into a codebase someone else maintains, under their review standard, or lead the build with their developer reviewing ours; either way the working agreement is written down in week one. Documentation is deliberate as we go, so no part of the system only we understand.

That's your call. Some partners describe us as their delivery team or white-label development agency; others say nothing, and our name appears on no commit, ticket or report your client sees. We don't approach the clients you introduce to us for direct business, through the work and for twelve months after the last assignment for that client ends.

A freelancer is one calendar, and code review has nobody to hand off to. A white-label partner gives you a named team, with a second specialist briefed from day one, and nothing merges until a second senior engineer signs off. We deliver under your brand, with an NDA and client-protection terms agreed in writing before work begins.

The wholesale development rate card is agreed once, in writing, and every engagement is quoted against it. You set the retail price and keep the margin; we never see your client invoices, and nothing we send reveals what you pay us. Proposals are itemised by deliverable (architecture, sprints, QA, migrations), with no platform-fee markups.
